The Library Project at EdTech Asia Summit in Singapore

October 7, 2024In Inside TLP2 Minutes

Tom Stader, Founder & Executive Director of The Library Project, just returned from attending the 2024 EdTech Asia Summit in Singapore. A huge thank you to Mike Michalec and his outstanding team for their generosity in providing a platform for so many people in the education space to come together every year. Mike Michalec has sat on The Library Project’s Board of Directors since 2020, bringing his passion for EdTech into our organization and board conversations.

This was a jam-packed summit for Tom Stader. It began with a short introduction to our team’s work at The Library Project (pictured below). Later in the day, Tom sat on a fantastic panel on Strategic Growth: Scaling Outcome-Driven Education Solutions Sustainably with Kavish (Sarawgi) Gadia from Stones to Milestones and Billy Naveed from the Young Founders School, moderated by Nandita Ganapathy from Kaizenvest. The following day, Tom served as a Roundtable Expert for one of the Global Connections Roundtable Sessions, with a theme of Evidence-Based Practices in EdTech: Turning Research into Growth and Measurable Outcomes.

At The Library Project, our core programs are unapologetically offline through the donation of Reading Rooms to rural schools, Reading Corners to classrooms, and Literacy Bags and STEAM Boxes to the home. That said, our teacher training and parent support are firmly rooted in online learning. For example, every month, we host online courses for hundreds of rural teachers throughout China to support children’s literacy in their classrooms and schools.

Thank you to everyone at EdTech Asia for hosting this year’s summit in Singapore!
