Looking Ahead – Upcoming Programs in 2025

August 1, 2025In Inside TLP2 Minutes

The first half of 2025 was a strong period of growth for The Library Project, and the second half promises even greater impact. From August to December, we are preparing to implement new literacy programs that will bring Reading Rooms, Reading Corners, Children’s Literacy Bags, and STEAM Boxes to more schools, hospitals, and community centers across China.

Some of the key initiatives include:

  • 5 schools: 45 Reading Corners, made possible by FORVIA Foundation
  • 7 schools: 3 Reading Rooms and 24 Reading Corners, made possible by Sika
  • 4 schools: 25 Reading Corners and 100 Children’s Literacy Bags, made possible by Bestseller
  • 1 school: 6 Reading Corners, made possible by FedEx Guangzhou
  • 1 school: 1 Reading Room, made possible by CMGE
  • 1 school: 1 Reading Room, made possible by Peninsula Hotel Shanghai
  • 1 school: 1 Reading Room, made possible by the Ni Family
  • 1 hospital: 4 Reading Corners, made possible by the Rotary Club of Chongqing
  • 4 community centers: 300 Children’s Literacy Bags, made possible by FedEx
  • Multiple locations: 1 Reading Room, 48 Reading Corners, and 800 Children’s Literacy Bags, made possible by Applied Materials

Together, these programs will reach thousands of children by the end of the year. Beyond the numbers, they represent real change: more classrooms filled with books, more homes with opportunities to read together, and more teachers supported in their efforts to make literacy a central part of daily learning.

As we enter this next phase, we are grateful to our corporate and family partners who are making this possible. Their support ensures that students have access to the tools they need to succeed in both school and life.
