Celebrating Impact – 17,725 Books Donated in 2025 (So Far)

August 26, 2025In Inside TLP1 Minutes

From January through July 2025, The Library Project donated 17,725 books to schools across China. By creating 5 Reading Rooms, 54 Reading Corners, and delivering 1 Book Donation, we provided 6,737 students with access to new libraries. An additional 935 students received Children’s Literacy Bags, bringing books into their homes and supporting family reading.

Behind every number is a story. A classroom that once had only a handful of textbooks is now equipped with hundreds of storybooks and reference materials. Students who may have struggled to develop strong reading habits are now surrounded by books they can borrow, read, and enjoy. Teachers, too, benefit from having new resources to integrate into lessons, allowing them to inspire curiosity and critical thinking among their students.

What makes this impact sustainable is our careful approach to book selection. All materials provided are chosen in line with our Book Content Core Values—STEAM Education, Inclusion & Diversity, Environmental Protection, Girls’ Education, Promoting World Peace, and Nurturing the Heart & Mind. This ensures that children not only gain access to books but also engage with stories that are meaningful, relatable, and supportive of their development.

The first half of 2025 has shown what is possible when communities, schools, and corporate partners come together to support literacy. With more projects planned in the months ahead, this progress is only the beginning.
