Tom Stader
Board Chair, TLP Founder & Executive Director

Tom Stader is the Founder of The Library Project and Board Chair of the Executive Board of Directors. In 2006, Tom had a simple idea to donate libraries to two orphanages in Dalian, China. Soon after those libraries were complete, Tom founded The Library Project. Since then, Tom and his dedicated team have completed over 8,000 library donations globally and impacted over 1,000,000 eager young readers. He is incredibly happy and proud of the impact The Library Project team accomplishes every day.

Eva Dong
Board Member

Eva Dong is the Lead of AI Value Realization at Google Cloud, where she empowers organizations to translate AI ideas into measurable business value. Prior to Google, Eva spent eight years at McKinsey & Company in AI & Data Science. Originally from China and currently based in New York City, Eva considers herself a global citizen. She has lived and worked across North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. Eva brings her expertise in data-driven efficiency and global operations to The Library Project, supporting the organization’s mission to maximize impact for young readers. A dedicated advocate for literacy, she has personally donated and raised funding for five libraries.

Julian Fisher
Board Member

Julian Fisher is the founder of Schoolata, a platform that provides actionable data for international schools and suppliers across Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. He has more than twenty years of experience in international education in Asia, including roles with Harrow International School Beijing, the British Council, Venture Education, and Sanderson Charles in Hong Kong. A regular commentator on international education, Julian has been featured in The Economist, Bloomberg, The Financial Times, The Guardian, and Al Jazeera. He is also Chair Emeritus of the British Chamber of Commerce in China and brings to The Library Project valuable expertise in international schools, business development, media relations, and strategic growth. Above all, he is passionate about reading, books, libraries, and the mission of The Library Project.

Donn Garton
Board Member

Donn Garton has lived and worked in Vietnam for over 7 years. Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Donn currently lives in Ho Chi Minh City and is General Manager of Resident Vietnam, a corporate relocation and immigration company serving clients such as Procter & Gamble, General Electric, and Chevron. Along with Resident Vietnam, Donn serves on the board of Alive Interactive Media, a video games outsourcing studio producing 3D animation for game companies around the world. Since moving to Asia, Donn has been involved in several start-ups and has extensive experience in operational management and business development. He is honored to be part of The Library Project and assist in its efforts to bring the gift of reading to children throughout Asia.

Philip McCrea
Board Member

Philip McCrea is the Managing Director at Red Nucleus—a global leader in interactive health education with offices in Yardley, PA, London, and Pune, India. In addition to Red Nucleus, he has founded several other technology and education companies. Philip brings expertise in building organizations as well as a passion for children’s education to The Library Project. He lives in Stockholm, Sweden, with his wife and three children.

Mike Michalec
Board Member

Mike Michalec is the Managing Director of EdTech Group, a consulting firm specializing in education, workforce innovation, and EdTech across Asia, the Middle East, and the Global South. He also advises Kaizenvest, Calmfident, and iTEP International. Mike brings extensive experience in strategy, ecosystem development, and sustainable growth to organizations working to expand access to learning. A board member of The Library Project since 2020, he supports the organization’s global literacy strategy. He holds degrees from the University of Colorado Boulder and George Mason University.

Jeri Lim
Advisory Board Member

Jeri Lim is a customer success leader with deep experience supporting enterprise clients, advocacy organizations, and global teams across the technology and nonprofit sectors. She currently serves as a Senior Enterprise Customer Success Manager at Cloudflare and has held prior leadership roles at Twilio, Mobilize, Upland Software, and NationBuilder. Earlier in her career, Jeri spent several years in China, founding an education consulting business and leading community initiatives. She joined The Library Project’s Board in support of its mission to advance children’s literacy.
