The Library Project is pleased to announce that Julian Fisher has joined our Board of Directors.

Julian brings more than twenty years of experience in international education, school data, research, and strategic advisory work across Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. He is the founder of Schoolata, an organization that provides actionable data for international schools and education suppliers, helping schools and organizations make better-informed decisions.

Throughout his career, Julian has worked with leading education institutions and organizations, including Harrow International School Beijing, the British Council, Venture Education, and Sanderson Charles. His experience spans education, communications, market intelligence, and organizational strategy, giving him a strong understanding of how schools, families, and education-focused organizations operate across international contexts.

Julian is also a respected voice in global education. He has been quoted by media outlets including The Economist, Bloomberg, The Financial Times, The Guardian, and Al Jazeera. He has served as an external advisor for Forbes China International School Rankings and the Network for Enriching Students and Schools in China.

In addition to his professional work, Julian has held several leadership and advisory roles. He is Chair Emeritus of the British Chamber of Commerce in China, former president of the China North Entrepreneurs’ Organization, and a mentor for Durham University.

Julian’s background in international education, data, and school communities will be a valuable addition to The Library Project as we continue expanding our work globally. His perspective will help strengthen our governance, support our partnerships, and guide our efforts to bring books, libraries, teacher training, and literacy programs to children around the world.

“We are honored to welcome Julian Fisher to The Library Project’s Board of Directors,” said Tom Stader, Founder and Executive Director of The Library Project. “Julian’s experience in international education and his understanding of schools across Asia and beyond will be extremely valuable as we continue to grow our global literacy work.”

The Library Project’s Board of Directors provides governance, strategic guidance, and fundraising support to help ensure the organization remains focused on its mission. As The Library Project expands its work through local teams and nonprofit partners around the world, strong board leadership remains essential to our long-term impact.

Please join us in welcoming Julian Fisher to The Library Project’s Board of Directors.
