The Library Project Funds First Program in the United States

The Library Project is proud to announce the successful funding and implementation of our first Read & Connect program in the United States through our partnership with Joy for Books.

The program was implemented in an elementary school in Phoenix, Arizona, reaching 30 students. Through Joy for Books’ Read & Connect model, the classroom received 10 culturally diverse children’s books selected to reflect the backgrounds and experiences of the students. Following the book donation, students participated in a structured literacy session designed to strengthen reading habits and deepen engagement with the stories.

This program reflects a shared commitment between The Library Project and Joy for Books to ensure that students not only have access to books but also meaningful opportunities to connect with them.

“Joy for Books has built a thoughtful, classroom-based model that aligns closely with our mission,” said Tom Stader, Executive Director & Founder of The Library Project. “Their dedication to children’s literacy is inspirational, and we look forward to growing this partnership.”

The Library Project is actively fundraising to support U.S.-based programs. Each $205 donation provides a classroom with 10 children’s books and a structured literacy session. To support U.S. classrooms, please make a donation through The Library Project’s website with a United States designation. Your contribution will help bring books and literacy programming to more classrooms across the United States.

As part of our Global Partnerships initiative, this collaboration lets us support locally led, high-impact programs and expand access to books and literacy support in new regions.

We are incredibly proud of our partnership with Joy for Books and look forward to funding additional Read & Connect programs in the near future.
