Our Book Content Core Values in Action

September 15, 2025In Inside TLP2 Minutes

At The Library Project, we believe that what children read matters just as much as having access to books. That is why every book we donate is chosen according to our Book Content Core Values, a framework that guides our selection process.

Books provided by The Library Project are:

  • STEAM Education – Inspiring problem-solving and discovery.
  • Inclusion & Diversity – Ensuring every child sees themselves in stories.
  • Environmental Protection – Building awareness of sustainability.
  • Girls’ Education – Promoting equal access and empowerment.
  • Promoting World Peace – Encouraging empathy and understanding.
  • Nurturing the Heart & Mind – Supporting social and emotional growth.

In 2025, we donated 17,725 books in the first half of the year alone. Each of these books was selected carefully so that every child who opens one is not only practicing literacy skills but also encountering stories that are meaningful and enriching. Teachers report that students are more engaged with reading when the books reflect their lives and interests. Families also value having materials that encourage children to think creatively and independently.

These values ensure that our programs go beyond simply increasing the number of books in schools and homes. They guarantee that the books we provide actively contribute to literacy development and long-term learning outcomes.

As we close out the year, our commitment to these values remains at the heart of everything we do. Every donation, whether large or small, supports the delivery of high-quality, meaningful reading materials that shape the future of young readers.
