Bringing More Books to Children in Bocas del Toro, Panama
The Library Project is excited to welcome Give & Surf as our newest Global Partner, creating new opportunities to support children’s literacy in Bocas del Toro, Panama.
Since 2011, Give & Surf has worked alongside local communities to expand educational opportunities for children and young people. Its programs include early childhood education, after-school learning, summer programs, scholarships, and community development initiatives serving communities throughout the Bocas del Toro region.
More Books for Children and Families
Through our new partnership, The Library Project will support Book Donations and Literacy Programs, helping Give & Surf create more opportunities for young readers to practice and enjoy reading.
Give & Surf already incorporates books into its education programs through lending libraries at three after-school centers and two preschools. Children are encouraged to take books home and read with their families, extending literacy beyond the classroom and making reading part of everyday life.
Our partnership will help strengthen this work by adding new children’s books and supporting literacy activities that encourage children to read regularly, build confidence, and develop a lasting connection with books.
