The Library Project and Imagine1day Partner to Support Literacy in Ethiopia

The Library Project is pleased to announce a partnership with Imagine1day to support literacy development in Ethiopia.

Through this partnership, The Library Project and Imagine1day will expand access to books for children in schools with limited educational resources. The Library Project will provide targeted fundraising support for Book Donations, helping to deliver high-quality, age-appropriate reading materials to students who need them most.

The Library Project’s Book Donation program is designed to place books directly into classrooms, libraries, and designated reading areas. By increasing access to children’s books within students’ primary learning environments, the program creates more opportunities for daily reading, strengthens literacy development, and supports teachers as they build a culture of reading in their schools.

For many children, access to books can shape how they learn, imagine, and engage with the world around them. This partnership will help ensure that more students in Ethiopia have the reading materials they need to explore new ideas, build confidence, and develop the foundational literacy skills that support long-term learning.

“We are honored to welcome Imagine1day to The Library Project’s Global Partnership initiative,” said Thomas Stader, Founder and Executive Director of The Library Project. “Their commitment to strengthening education in Ethiopia aligns closely with our mission to improve children’s literacy. We look forward to working together to expand access to books and support students as they develop a lifelong love of reading.”

This partnership reflects a shared commitment to practical, school-centered literacy development. Together, The Library Project and Imagine1day will help strengthen learning environments, support primary education, and create more opportunities for children in Ethiopia to read, learn, and thrive.
