Applied Materials China Supports Rural Children’s Literacy
On September 16, five TLP team members set out from Xi’an for Sanyuan County, Xianyang, where we donated new Reading Corners to two rural primary schools with support from Applied Materials China.
We also spent the day with fourth-grade students, running picture-book sessions, a climate and health workshop, and an energy science class. Outside the classrooms, we set up small exhibitions that brought some of those same topics to life through visuals and hands-on activities.
It was a full day of books, questions, drawings, and plenty of curiosity.
We’re looking forward to visiting more schools, opening more reading corners, and seeing where each new book might take a child.
Thank you to Applied Materials China for making the day possible.
