The Library Project Releases 2025 Annual Report

July 2, 2026In Inside TLP2 Minutes

The Library Project is pleased to share our 2025 Annual Report, highlighting a year of continued progress in expanding access to books, supporting teachers, and strengthening children’s literacy.

In 2025, The Library Project supported 48 rural elementary schools in China. Through Reading Rooms, Reading Corners, and targeted Book Donations, we reached approximately 19,000 students and donated more than 47,000 Chinese-language children’s books. These books helped create stronger reading environments in schools and classrooms where access to quality reading materials remains limited.

Our work also extended beyond the classroom. In 2025, The Library Project distributed 3,011 Children’s Literacy Bags to rural and migrant families, helping children build small home libraries and encouraging reading at home. We also provided children’s reading curriculum and book management training to 1,200 rural teachers, helping educators use books more effectively and create lasting literacy impact.

The Annual Report also introduces an important new chapter in our work: Global Partnerships. In 2025, The Library Project launched this initiative with our first two partners, Joy for Books in the United States and Start a Library Trust in Kenya. Through Global Partnerships, we are working alongside local literacy organizations to expand access to books, strengthen programs, and support communities in new ways.

We are grateful to our donors, partners, volunteers, teachers, board members, and supporters who made this work possible. Your support helps children read more often, discover new ideas, and build stronger foundations for learning.

We invite you to read The Library Project’s 2025 Annual Report and learn more about the impact we created together.
