Bringing Books and Libraries to Nepal’s Rural Communities
We believe the strongest literacy programs begin with local knowledge.
That is why The Library Project is excited to welcome Compassion for Nepal as our newest Global Partner. The organization works directly with children and families in Nepal’s mountain communities and brings a deep understanding of the educational challenges they face.
Local Knowledge, More Reading Opportunities
Compassion for Nepal’s community-based education programs give children places to receive additional academic support, participate in activities, and learn alongside their peers. Our new partnership will add a stronger literacy component to these environments.
The Library Project will support Reading Rooms, Reading Corners, Book Donations, and Literacy Programs, helping Compassion for Nepal create more opportunities for children to spend time with books and strengthen their reading skills.
Some communities may benefit from a dedicated Reading Room, while others may need a smaller collection of books placed directly within an existing learning space. By working with Compassion for Nepal, we can respond to local needs rather than applying the same solution everywhere.

We provide funding, capacity building, fundraising support, and free resources to help our partners grow their impact and reach more children.
