HKBAV Donate a Second Library in Vietnam

Thank you to everyone at the Hong Kong Business Association Vietnam (HKBAV) for their continued support of rural literacy. HKBAV is a non-profit, non-governmental, and non-political voluntary Membership Association of Hong Kong business in Vietnam that was established in HCMC in 1999 and Hanoi in 2012.

On May 5th, two volunteers from HKBAV and The Library Project’s team donated a library to a rural primary school in Linh Long, Vietnam. This was the second library that HKBAV donated through a generous financial donation to The Library Project.

This library donation benefited, Lê Văn Cư – Hiệp Trường, a small rural primary school with 75 students in attendance. This small school now has three Reading Corners in each of their school classrooms.

After setting up each of the Reading Corners, volunteers and our team conducted literacy programs with the children. These literacy programs serve two purposes; to introduce the children to their new school library, and to get them excited about reading. Some kids didn’t want to go home because they wanted to stay and read the new books. Mission accomplished!

Please take a moment and check out the photos below of this very special library donation.

Thank you to everyone at HKBAV for all of your support!
