Training for teachers

Training for teachers

More than half of children and adolescents worldwide are not meeting minimum proficiency standards in reading.

The Library Project provides a comprehensive Librarian Training course for the teachers and administrators at each library that is donated.

Our Librarian Training course educates teachers on how to properly manage their new library, making sure it stays in good condition and that it’s used often. The course gives teachers ways to use books in their classroom and how to work with other teachers to use the library well. Librarian Training also educates teachers on how to create a system for their school to allow students to check-out books to read at home.

We have found that this training course results in 94% of our libraries being effectively used on a daily-to-weekly basis after the first year.
