Training for teachers

Training for teachers

More than half of children and adolescents worldwide are not meeting minimum proficiency standards in reading.

Teachers are important

All of our library donations have a teacher training component. This course covers how to properly loan books to students, how to use the children’s books in a classroom setting, and how to get the students involved in the maintenance of their library.

We have found that when we conduct a teacher training course, 94% of our libraries are used on a daily-to-weekly basis during the first year. These are the kinds of results that everyone at The Library Project is so proud of. To learn more about our impact, please check out our Monitoring & Evaluation section of this site.
