Children’s Literacy Bags
Children’s Literacy Bags provide a child with access to high-quality educational books. These books are theirs, and theirs alone, to be brought home. In many cases, these books represent the first steps in having a home library.
Children’s Literacy Bags are donated to children through a close partnership with local governments, schools, and educators. Training comes not in the form of teacher training, but through the capacity building of parents and caregivers. Training parents how to bring literacy into their home is an essential part of every child’s education.

Parent Literacy Training, Monitoring, and Ongoing Support
The Library Project provides comprehensive training for parents at each literacy bag donation. We see this as essential to every donation.
Our parent training course focuses on how to properly manage their new home library and making sure it stays in good condition. The course provides parents with ways to use books in their homes and educates parents on how to create a literacy system for their children to read at home.
Measuring Our Results
At The Library Project, we believe measuring our impact is important.
