1000th library donations; impacting 315,000 children

The Library Project – June 2013

The Library Project donated their 1000th library to rural elementary schools, orphanages and community centers in China and Vietnam. These 1000 libraries are located in 25 provinces throughout China, and four provinces in Vietnam.

Since 2006, The Library Project put more than 500,000 local language children’s books into the hands of over 315,000 eager young readers.

“To say that I am proud would be the understatement of the century. I need to thank our team members located in Xi’an and Shanghai, China and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam for their hard work, for never giving up when it got difficult and also building an organization that we can all be proud to be a part of. I’d also like to thank our incredible network of donors and volunteers that have believed in us over the years; we could not have accomplished so much without your support,” said Tom Stader, Executive Director and Founder of The Library Project.

The Library Project is a non-profit charity organization that donates books and libraries to the under-financed schools in China and Vietnam. Up to now, The Library Project has donated more than 1000 local language libraries for elementary schools in remote areas of both China and Vietnam.
