Volunteer Opportunities

Our volunteers are a huge reason for our success. Thanks to their dedication, passion, and commitment, we are able to offer gifts of books to thousands of children while keeping our overhead low. We're always looking for new volunteers!

As a volunteer, there are many different ways you can help The Library Project provide books and libraries to children in elementary schools and orphanages in China. If you are interested in participating in any of the volunteer opportunities below, please contact with our Volunteer Coordinator, Jocelyn Jia for more information.

志愿者队伍

志愿者队伍是每一次成功捐赠的关键！衷心感谢你们为之付出的热情和辛劳！正是有了你们的热心相助，中华捐书会才能为成千上万的少年儿童送去爱心图书。谢谢！希望能有更多的爱心人士加入到中华捐书会的志愿者队伍中来。

Volunteer at a Library Donation

Need:The Library Project needs volunteers at all of our library donations. You can help with taking photos, conducting activities with children, be an interpreter, delivering donation items, and sorting books. Volunteer work varies with each donation, but our donation lead will conduct a short training before each donation based on the needs. Volunteering at a library donation is hard work, but it is also fun, and very rewarding.

Requirements: Volunteers must be in good health, have health insurance (if you don’t have life insurance, we can provide you a short-term health insurance plan covering 5 days, and it costs 10 Yuan CNY), be available for donation day-trips or multi-days-trips (day-trips are usually 7am to 6pm; multi-days-trip can be as short as two days and as long as two weeks), be able to sit in a truck or van on bumpy roads, eat simple food, but the most important thing is to have a big heart and enjoy working with children.

捐赠现场志愿者

职责：现场捐赠活动需要各种各样的志愿者帮助，例如拍照，组织游戏活动，口译员，搬运捐赠物资，整理书籍等。工作内容因各种捐赠类型的不同而各有侧重，每次捐赠前我们的捐赠现场指导将会提前与您沟通从而安排您的志愿意向。总的来说，这是一份辛苦但是充满乐趣的光荣工作。

要求：志愿者必须身体健康，拥有健康和人身保险（如果您没有人身保险，我们可以为您提供为期5天的意外人身保险，其价格为10元人民币。请在捐赠活动正式开始前两天通知我们以便我们为您在出行之前购买保险），时间充裕（如果是一天的捐赠的话，确保从早上7点到下午6点都有空；如果是多日捐赠的话，请确定您的日程能够允许您和我们在这段时间里开展捐赠活动），并且能够吃苦耐劳，比如乘坐货运卡车和面包车在崎岖的乡村路上颠簸，忍受粗茶淡饭和艰苦的生活条件。更重要的是有一颗宽容之心，愿意和孩子们相处，不畏艰苦工作。

Help at a Fundraising Events

Need:The Library Project hosts a lot of small grassroots events throughout China. We are always looking for volunteers to help manage and organize these events. Duties range from: setting up posters and sample libraries, selling entrance tickets and raffle tickets, handing out gifts, being an event guide and simply have fun.

Requirements: Volunteers must be in good health, be young at heart and be able to think on their feet. Volunteers need to be able to laugh when the inevitable "well planned idea" does not work out.

筹资活动志愿者

职责：中华捐书会在全国各地举办许多大众型筹资活动。我们需要志愿者来帮助的地方有很多，在布置会场时我们需要志愿者帮助摆设海报，搭建图书馆样板等，在活动开始时负责出售门票，抽奖券，递送奖品，充当活动引领员和讲解员等。在活动整个过程中，您既会感到有些紧张但也会是一段非常有趣的经历。

要求：志愿者必须身体健康，有一颗年轻向上的心，遇事反应机敏，并且能够灵活应对突发事件，从容不迫。

Local Representatives

Need: Local Representatives are "Super Volunteers". These are people that want to host regular fundraising events, raise awareness of The Library Project's mission, and have fun. Local Representatives receive personal business cards, listed on our website and are 100% a part of The Library Project Team.

Requirements: Local Representatives are people that believe in The Library Project's mission, are willing to support through event management and be ready to make a difference.

地方代表

职责：地方代表是我们的“超级志愿者”。他们为中华捐书会在各地举办筹资活动，向社会宣传我们的工作使命，并享受着每一次慈善筹资活动带给他们的精神愉悦。地方代表将会收到我们专门制作的名片，并会作为中华捐书会的一员出现在我们的网站上。

要求：地方代表们了解中华捐书会的工作使命，愿意为举办筹资活动奉献自己的才智，并为改善落后地区教育水平局面贡献自己的一份力量。

Office Volunteer Work

Need:The Library Project is always looking for help around our offices. Organizing thousands of children's books, packaging donation items, cleaning our warehouse (wow is it a mess!), online research, and handmade crafts are just a few things we need help with. Also, if you have a specific skill, such as: accounting, project management, librarian training, etc. let us know.

Requirements: Volunteers must be in good health, be young at heart and be able to laugh at our bad jokes. When working in our office, you are a part of our team, welcome!

办公室志愿者

职责：中华捐书会的办公室中也少不了志愿者们无私的帮助。比如，把成千上万本儿童图书进行分类打包，包装捐赠物品，清理仓库（急需清理，太乱了！），在线搜集信息，手工制作等。如果您还有一技之长，例如财会，项目管理，图书管理培训等尽管告知我们，肯定都能派上用场。

要求：必须身体健康，拥有一颗年轻的心，而且能容忍我们的“冷笑话”。在来到办公室志愿工作的那一刻起，您就已经成为我们的一员了，欢迎加入我们！

Fundraising Support

Need: The Library Project is always reaching out to companies and individuals to see if they would like to donate a library or get involved. We are always looking for people to help write proposals, translate documents and do research.

Requirements: Volunteers must have experience writing proposals, working with charities and companies, be detailed oriented and have an amazing work ethic.

筹资协助员

职责：中华捐书会总是在不断与公司和个人接触，希望寻找到更多图书馆捐助者或参与者。与此同时，如果能够得到您在撰写捐赠申请书，文件翻译和信息搜集等方面的帮助，那就再好不过了！

要求：志愿者具有一定的文书写作方面的经验，或有过与慈善团体和多个公司打过交道的经历，严谨细致，具有工作热诚的志愿者都是我们寻找的对象。
